Maggie Island weekend camping trip

so Swat Vacc begins and what better to spend the week devoted to studying to go on a camping trip with two aussies and an american! so we set sail to Magnetic Island to go camping for two nights. The three of us get to Magnetic Island and need a way around the island other than the bus so, we rent a 'moke' (a rickety 4 person go cart like thing thats a standard) only one of us can drive stick, as of right now. so we load up and head off to our campsite, set up a small two person tent and a swag (australian tent/sleeping bag all in one, and hey its water proof!) we then head out to get food supplies and get dinner at the camp site place. and why not head to the beach for a sunset swim and some goon! next morning we head to the beach with our eggs bacon and bread and cook up a yummy breakfast and eat it on the beach. we then meet up with Dan the other American and go on a hiking trip up to an old fort on the island! on our adventure up we got to see a wild koala and meet some cool people who took our picture! goon in hand we traveled the rest of the way up the mountain side to the tippity top! where some of the most breath taking views i have ever seen! panoramic views of the bay and the beautiful water! after the hike back we settled back into our camp site and made some drinks where while emailing my parents, we have two little visitors surprise us, tropical birds! all of a sudden i heard flapping and a thud and there on my shoulder was a beautiful multicolored bird picking at my pop tart! after taking millions of photos and feeding them tequila sunrises our friends left us. We traveled back to the beach to take some pictures by the sea, and a dip in the water. then took our moke over to the other side of the island to eat dinner outside, where we kept being attacked by these crazy black birds that were popping out of the bushes and stealing our French fries! after fending off these black tyrants we decided to get a game of pool going at the pup next door a couple beer pitchers later and some dancing headed back to our camp site! where i learned how to drive stick because i had to, being the only sober one, i stalled more than we moved but we made it back in one piece! Once at the campsite we talked and ate a little more and found two more friends one we named brandy, a little possum so nice she let us pet her and feed her left over chicken! The morning after we had to pack and head home, not with out a stop to a mexican restaurant for pitchers of discounted margaritas with complimentary sombrero's!!
and back to studying...
