Whitsunday Islands

So for the Swat Vacc studying week what better way to study than to hop on a bus for 4 hours south to Arelie Beach. To go on a three day cruise to the amazing islands of the Whitsunday's! To one of the most famous beaches in the world, voted nicest beach in 2006, Whitehaven Beach. Of course this trip wasn't shy of adventure, critters, and camels!?
We headed to the bus station with our luggage and books on our desk back at college, ready to go off to a nice beach vacation!
We get to Arelie and check into our hostel, Magnums, which is know for the crazy parties, of course we'd only be staying there for two nights the night before our boat leaves and the night after our boat gets back. We get our keys and head to our room, where we find that it's a ten person room which means that we are certainly not the only people in the room sharing the single bathroom... in fact there are two girls from England and a guy from Scotland with a very heavy scottish accent, and someone else that we never ended up meeting. We claimed the remaining beds and headed out to explore the beach town. We shopped around at all the little surf shops around and got yummy sandwiches at Subway and went and plopped down on our little slice of heaven and tanned and read and took tips in the ocean. It was such a beautiful day and the water was the most amazing blue color! We walked al around the town when it started to get dark and found a Dominos! Who would have thought!? and got some pizzas and went back to the hostel and ate on some picnic tables outside under the stars and the warmth of the night. Then it was time to get ready for bed and our early wake up to get to our boat! The Habbi!!
it was around 3am, no lie, when the English chicks decided to have a screaming party right outside of our room...i have never met two girls that could be so loud! they weren't just yelling they were screaming at the top of their lungs! just when we thought that it was over they brought some dudes into the room and proceeded to rock two of the girls i was with to sleep... oh yea did i mention we were in bunk beds... After getting around 2 hours of sleep we woke up pretty grumpy, but very excited to get out of the hostel and to our boat! We ate some brekky and packed up, handed in our keys, and walked off to our boat, well tried to find it anyway got pretty lost and had to ask a few people where to go!
Finally making it to the dock worried our boat was going to sail off without us we sat down next to some people, who were already drinking, little did we know this would be the theme of our little three day trip at sea. We felt pretty unprepared as more people arrived with cases upon cases of beer and bags of goon. We finally boarded the boat with all the booze, thought the boat might sink, as the captain let us know this is the most alcohol he's ever sent aboard the boat and that we were going to have a pretty gnarly three days, and he would be surprised if it got consumed in entirety.
